Program Overview
The MIT Presidential Fellowships are awarded to outstanding new graduate students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They are nine-month fellowships that fund tuition, a monthly stipend and the student extended insurance plan for the first academic year at MIT.
You cannot apply for this fellowship directly. Presidential Fellows are selected by MIT's President and Provost from candidates nominated by the school deans and the heads of departments and interdisciplinary programmes. To be considered, apply for admission to your MIT graduate programme by that department's own deadline; the date shown on this page is an estimate, so check your department's date.
