UBC Four Year Doctoral Fellowship 2027 in Canada (University of British Columbia)

The Four Year Doctoral Fellowship (4YF) is the University of British Columbia's funding programme for outstanding doctoral students. From September 2026 onward it gives recipients a stipend of 24,000 Canadian dollars plus tuition each year, for up to four years of doctoral study. Canadian, permanent resident and international students can receive it. There is no single deadline: UBC says the deadline is set by each graduate programme. Most UBC PhD programmes close applications for September 2027 entry between December 2026 and January 2027, so the date shown here is an estimate. Ask your graduate programme how it selects students for the 4YF. Students who hold certain federal doctoral awards automatically become 4YF designates.
