Program Overview

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a non-degree programme of about ten months at universities in the United States. It is for mid-career professionals with a proven record of leadership and a commitment to public service, and it combines academic coursework with professional development. You apply through the United States Embassy or Fulbright Commission in your own country, which selects candidates. Each one sets its own deadline, so no single date is shown here. In Pakistan, the programme is run by the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP). Its round for fellows starting in fall 2027 closed on 20 May 2026. USEFP gives April as the usual month for its announcement, and no date for the next round has been published. Pakistani applicants need 8 to 18 years of professional experience and 16 years of education. This page was last checked against the USEFP website on 7 October 2026.
