Program Overview

The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) fund master's studies in Sweden for professionals with work and leadership experience. The scholarship is open only to citizens of 34 listed countries. Pakistan is not on the Swedish Institute's list of 34 eligible countries, so Pakistani citizens cannot apply for this scholarship. The listed countries are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, the Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zambia. The process has two steps. First you apply for an eligible master's programme through University Admissions in Sweden. Then you submit the SI scholarship application, which is open for about two weeks in February. The Swedish Institute has not yet published the dates for the 2027/28 round. In the last round, university applications ran from 16 October 2025 to 15 January 2026, the SI application was open from 9 to 25 February 2026 (closing at 14:59 Central European Time) and scholarship results came on 23 April 2026. The deadline shown on this page is an estimate based on that round. This page was last checked against the Swedish Institute website on 7 October 2026.
