Program Overview
The Uppsala University Global Scholarship covers the full tuition fee of an international master's programme at Uppsala University for citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland. It does not cover living expenses. The scholarship is funded by the Swedish Council for Higher Education.
The scholarship round for studies starting in autumn 2027 is not open yet: Uppsala says the next round will open in early 2027. In the last round the application period was 16 January to 2 February 2026, and late applications were not accepted. The date shown on this page is an estimate based on that round. You must also apply for your master's programme through University Admissions before its deadline, and your application fee and documents must arrive by then. Most universities allow you to apply with a "Hope Certificate" or provisional transcript if you are in your final semester, provided you graduate before the intake starts.
