Program Overview

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme is run by Campus France for the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. It helps French higher education institutions attract top foreign students to their master's, engineering and PhD programmes. Applicants can be up to 29 years old at master's level and up to 35 at PhD level. You cannot apply yourself. Only applications submitted by French higher education institutions are accepted, so you first apply to a French institution and ask it to nominate you. For the 2027 campaign, institutions must submit files to Campus France by 6 January 2027, and results are announced in the week of 12 April 2027. Institutions set their own earlier deadlines for students, often between late October and early December, so contact your programme now. The scholarship pays a monthly allowance and other costs such as travel and insurance, but it does not cover tuition fees. This page was last checked against the Campus France website on 7 October 2026.
