Program Overview
GLOCAL (Global Markets, Local Creativities) is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's degree taught by a group of universities in different countries. Students follow one of several study tracks and move between partner universities during the two-year programme. Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available for the 2027 to 2029 intake.
Scholarship applications for all tracks close on 14 January 2027 at 13:00 UK time, and applicants are told the outcome in April 2027. Everyone put forward for a scholarship also receives an offer of admission. Self-funded applications stay open later. This page was last checked against the GLOCAL website on 7 October 2026.

How Applications Are Evaluated

Required Documents
GLOCAL Scholarship Application Form 2027, a Word form from the GLOCAL website
CV in any format. Europass is preferred
Two references on headed paper or with an official stamp, signed, and dated within the last 24 months. At least one must be academic
References can be uploaded, or emailed by the referee from an institutional address. Personal email addresses are not accepted
Transcripts of all university studies, in the original language and in an official English translation
Degree certificates of all university studies, in the original language and in an official English translation
Proof of English-language proficiency, due by the scholarship deadline
Colour scan of your passport photo page
Supporting personal statement of no more than 1,200 words

Apply through the University of Glasgow online application system and upload every document there. Documents sent by email are not accepted

It varies by program and by your previous education. Some providers accept other English tests, and some waive the test if your earlier degree was taught in English. Check the official program requirements before you apply.
The official deadline is 1/14/2027. We highly recommend submitting your application at least a week prior to avoid server congestion.
Most universities allow you to apply with a "Hope Certificate" or provisional transcript if you are in your final semester, provided you graduate before the intake starts.
This varies by university. Many fully funded scholarships cover or waive application fees, but some may still require an initial processing fee. Refer to the official guidelines.
For PhD and some Master's programs, securing an acceptance letter from a professor is often mandatory. For undergraduate programs, it is usually not required.
