Program Overview

MIT Solve is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that runs open innovation challenges. Innovators from around the world submit solutions to specific problems, and selected teams, called Solver teams, receive funding, in-kind resources and connections. MIT Solve reports that it has supported more than 470 Solver teams. When this page was checked, several challenges were marked as accepting solutions. Each challenge has its own theme, rules and closing date, so no single deadline is shown here. This page was last checked against the official website on 5 October 2026. Checked on 8 October 2026 against the MIT Solve website: applications for the 2027 Global Challenges opened on 22 September 2026 and close on 2 November 2026 at 12:00 noon US Eastern time. Anyone, anywhere can apply with a solution at prototype stage or later. Every selected Solver team receives a 10,000 US dollar grant and access to a prize pool of more than 1 million dollars.
