Program Overview

Sorbonne University does not run one single scholarship for international master's students. The main route to substantial support is the French Government's Eiffel Excellence Scholarship, for which Sorbonne puts forward its best international applicants, alongside smaller university and faculty awards. You cannot apply for Eiffel yourself: only French institutions submit applications to Campus France. For the 2027 round, institutions must submit by 6 January 2027, and results are published in the week of 12 April 2027. Sorbonne sets its own earlier internal deadline for candidates, which differs by faculty and programme, so contact the programme you are applying to as early as possible. The date shown on this page is the Campus France deadline for institutions, not your own deadline. The Eiffel scholarship does not cover tuition fees, so it is shown here as partial funding. This page was last checked against the Campus France website on 7 October 2026.
