Program Overview

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme supports outstanding university graduates and professionals from eligible countries who would not otherwise be able to afford graduate study at the University of Oxford. The scholarship covers 100% of course fees and gives a grant for living costs of at least £21,805. It is awarded for the full duration of fee liability for the agreed course. The scholarship is open only for certain full-time graduate courses. These include the BCL, MBA, MJur, MPP and a range of MSc and MSt courses in areas such as economics for development, global health, energy systems, migration studies, social data science, sustainability and water science. You must be ordinarily resident in one of the eligible countries listed on the official page, apply to start a new full-time graduate course in 2027–28, and intend to return to your country of ordinary residence after your course. You must also show a connection between your subject and your longer-term career goals. Holders of deferred offers for 2027–28 and current Oxford students are not eligible, unless they are already Weidenfeld-Hoffmann scholars. To apply, select the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme in the University of Oxford Scholarships section of the graduate application form, upload the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement 2027/28, and submit your course application by the December or January deadline for your course. The closing date depends on the course, so check your course page. Applications held over to the March deadline or placed on a waiting list are not considered. Shortlisted candidates are likely to be interviewed online in April 2027, and decisions are expected by the end of May 2027. Unsuccessful applicants are not contacted individually. This page was last checked against the University of Oxford website on 17 October 2026.
