Program Overview

CYBERSURE is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's in Cybersecurity and Assurance. It is a two-year, 120 ECTS programme taught in English by seven universities: NTNU in Norway, Aalto University in Finland, KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, DTU in Denmark, the University of Tartu in Estonia, EURECOM in France and TU Graz in Austria. All students spend the first year at NTNU, first in Trondheim and then in GjΓΈvik, followed by a summer school and a summer internship. In the second year they move to one partner for a specialisation: distributed systems security at Aalto, advanced cyber and software assurance at DTU, cryptography at Tartu, big data security at EURECOM, networks and systems security at KTH, or security engineering at TU Graz. Graduates receive degrees from both their first-year and second-year universities. Applications for the 2027 intake open on 16 November 2026 and close on 4 January 2027. English test results must reach the programme by 18 January 2027, and selection results are expected by mid-March 2027. The programme takes 25 to 35 students a year. Erasmus Mundus scholarships cover tuition fees and travel costs and pay a monthly allowance for living costs. For the 2026 intake the programme listed up to 18 Erasmus Mundus scholarships and a grant of 16,800 euros a year. The 2027 figures are not yet published on the programme website. You need a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field worth 180 ECTS, or at least three years of full-time study, with very high grades, and English at IELTS Academic 6.5 (6.0 in writing) or an accepted equivalent. This page was last checked against the CYBERSURE website on 20 October 2026.
