How scholarships work in the UK
The UK has several government-funded schemes for international students, led by Chevening for one-year master's degrees and Commonwealth Scholarships for master's and PhD study. Universities add their own awards, such as Gates Cambridge, Rhodes and Clarendon at Cambridge and Oxford. Most fully funded awards are for postgraduate study, and full funding for a bachelor's degree is rare.
